R2D2PC is a silent mini server built around the Mini-ITX form factor. It has been running on OpenBSD in continuous operation for more than eight years now, and, among other things, it provides the functionality of a DSL router, firewall, WLAN Access Point and a Web server. All components have been specifically selected for silent and power saving operation. The external power supply provides fanless operation, and a silent fan ensures a stable operating temperature inside the casing of R2D2PC. The operating system is installed on a CompactFlash card. R2D2PC consumes only 20 watts of power at idle.
